Chocolate Craving Cake

Ingredients for Cake

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup oil
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup warm water, can use coffee

Ingredients for Frosting

1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Let’s Start Baking!

Start by preheating the oven at 350°F.
Meanwhile, line up an 8×8-inch glass or ceramic baking dish with parchment paper. If using a metal baking pan, then heat the oven to 325°F.
Take a bowl and mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixer.
Further add egg, milk, oil, and vanilla and mix at low-speed. Add some warm water and gently stir the batter until the batter becomes smooth and thin in its consistency.
Scape out the batter and pour it into the prepared pan. Bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick/skewer comes out clean. If the toothpick doesn’t come out clean, then bake the cake for about 10-15 minutes more while keeping a check on your oven.
Let the cake cool down completely for about 10 minutes in the pan and then place it over a wire rack at room temperature.
Now, that your cake is ready, let’s start with the frosting.
In a microwave-safe bowl heat some chocolate chips at 50% power in 30-second increments.
To this melted chocolate sauce add sour cream and vanilla and stir by hand until it attains frosting-like consistency.
Top off your cake with this frosting and serve it to your guests.
