EARN IT, MR. PM!
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau must have missed the memo stating that respect is earned, not given. He continually disrespects Western Canada, and I don’t mean just Alberta. He showed up in Saskatoon a few days ago and didn’t even think to give Premier Scott Moe a heads up on his visit. We all know he considers Alberta as the ugly cousin but I guess now Saskatchewan is the ugly cousin’s twin sister in his eyes. Could it be that both provinces have strong conservative leanings? He puts on a strained face when it comes to B.C. but of course he has to. His buddy, Jagmeet Singh, wouldn’t show him much love if he treated an NDP-led province like he does conservative ones. Truth be told, theirs is a relationship of convenience. Without Singh’s support, the Liberals would have been shown the egress years ago so he has to tread lightly when it comes to him. Now it turns out he is not only dividing Canada with his asinine, champion of saving the Earth attitude, he is alienating fellow UN partners by refusing to help them wean themselves off Russian natural gas. When two independent countries, Germany and Japan, come looking to make a deal with Canada he just smiles, nods and gives them a lecture on how they should be buying windmills and solar panels to supply their countries’ energy needs. By this exercise in stupidity, he has single handedly not only cost this country billions of dollars worth of investments, jobs, and income, but has effectively told the whole world to buzz off. Canada doesn’t want to help any other world partner to heat their homes or run their businesses with ethically sourced natural gas or need their money to improve Canada’s bottom line but hey, thanks for thinking of us. We’d be more than happy to sell you as much high quality maple syrup farmed from Quebec as you need though. And, of course, no trees will be harmed in the production of this truly great product. You might freeze to death but at least your pancakes will be tasty. Pathetic!

JUST NOT THE CASE
Re: Bad Spending letter. Donald K. Munroe’s letter suggesting that Albertans are in financial crises because they are trying to keep up with the ‘Joneses’ is a self centred and insensitive put down to all hardworking Albertans in this province. Through-the-roof inflation in this country is mostly a result of massive, excessive spending and poor policies by the feds and a Bank of Canada strategy of raising interest rates, which is not working very well. The major blame for a financial crisis that many Canadians are dealing with should be put squarely onto the shoulders of Justin Trudeau and his cast of clowns. Shame on you, Munroe, for blaming the masses entirely for this mess we are in!

LECTURE TIME
Speaking to the PM of Japan, ours said, “We know that being a reliable supplier of energy is important” … “But even as we do talk about things like LNG and other traditional sources of energy, we know the world is moving aggressively and meaningfully towards de-carbonizing.” That is totally unadulterated BS in my view; in that yes, Canada (Alberta, in particular, thanks) has been forced into shutting down coal-fired power plants, which had provided cheaper electricity because of coal being the most polluting of all fossil fuels and LNG being the least. OK, fine. Yet Canada exports more than ‘a few tons’ of coal to China, wherein it is burned less cleanly, whereas we used ‘chimney scrubbers’ and now have more carbon capture tech going on in the ‘oilpatch’ sector. China, on the other hand (mining its own coal as well), has been building coal-fired plants at a much greater rate than the numbers that have been shutting down here at home. Trudeau has indeed had great influence in how Canada has participated in making us a big part of the global ‘green energy’ push, yet had the audacity to inform the visiting Japanese PM (who came asking for Canadian LNG), “the world is moving aggressively and meaningfully towards de-carbonizing.” Well sir, isn’t that exactly what’s going on in Europe of late? We should be well embarrassed on the world stage for having returned this fool to power again, knowing full well that his ‘program of self-aggrandizement’ via virtue signalling seems to have made him blind to the fact that China’s burning of coal more than completely negates everything that he seems to think his carbon tax has accomplished in cleaning up our sad old Earth’s atmosphere! In short: I’m ‘greening up’ by not putting old tires in the backyard firepit anymore! I toss them over the fence and my neighbour burns them in his!

SORRY, ROGER
I feel bad for poor old climate change zealot, Roger Gagne. The world used more coal in 2022 to offset the low supply of oil that has been vilified and demonized for the last 10 or more years. Approximately 14 years ago there was “Climategate” at Britain’s East Anglia University’s Climate Research Unit where the researchers cooked the books with faulty data and flawed analysis. The theory should have been discredited then and thrown into the dustbin of failed academic theory, but it wasn’t. It was kept alive and the only ones keeping this theory alive are the UN, political parties and politicians who can use it to curtail personal rights and freedoms and to tax the people. Then there’s a good portion of the lapdog western media who push and amplify the agenda of those political parties, certain academics who have vested interest in keeping the theory alive to maintain funding and finally climate change zealots like Mr. Gagne. When surveyed, climate change is near the bottom or at the bottom of people’s concerns and more people are starting to open their eyes to this global con and the cooked science behind it.

WHAT A JOKE
Singh the hypocrite. Truer words were never spoken! However, how on earth can Jagmeet Singh on the one hand outrightly condemn Justin Trudeau for this and his failing to address the healthcare crises, while on the other shamelessly continue propping him up so he can cause even more harm? Does Singh not realize how hypocritical he keeps coming across. The NDP has always claimed to be the defender of the working class. Yet Singh joined with Trudeau in demeaning and dehumanizing the hard working truckers in the Freedom Convoy and supported his invoking the Emergency Measures Act. Ironically, many of the truckers were Sikhs, resulting in Singh being booed when appearing in his hometown of Brampton! Is there any wonder Canadians do not trust politicians like Singh, who preach one thing while doing the exact opposite!

QUITE THE SNUB
The prime minister’s legacy as the most petty and vindictive leader in our country’s history is now officially written in stone. Despite the frosty relationship between the PM and the premier of Saskatchewan, that Justin Trudeau didn’t even inform Scott Moe of his visit to Saskatoon is shocking. To show that type of disrespect for a provincial leader, and that level of disregard for political protocol, displays a “Mean Girls” level of maturity. Danielle Smith obviously shouldn’t expect a heads-up, if and when the ‘Prince of Darkness’ slips into the province, to regurgitate still more pompous platitudes.

GROW UP, HARRY
Re: Prince Harry the hero. Val Stephenson, you are wrong about your hero Harry. He was a co-pilot, not the pilot. Big difference. He had 24-hour special security, so was not in danger. I doubt he went on dangerous missions, it is bad press to lose a royal. Bragging about killing 25, crap. Only a idiot/liar keeps tabs. He did some good, he only shows up for the games. He has spent the last years lying about his pitiful life. Poor baby, grow up. Spare my ass, useless spare.
ED SKELDING

TOXIC TWINS
Well, I finally read it. Brian Lilley finally put it on paper. I’ve been saying that Jagmeet Singh supporting Justin Trudeau is not for the betterment of the Canadian people. It’s about him getting his final two years in so he can get his nice government pension. If he really thinks that he can be the next prime minister, he would stand on his own two feet. There would have been a non-confidence vote by now but with Singh hanging on to Trudeau’s coat strings, it won’t happen. There’s nothing good happening in Canada under the Trudeau Liberals. They’re the new Green Party and they can’t look at working with industry and a cleaner environment without destroying everything in its path. We need opposition parties that don’t snuggle up to the prime minister to stay in power or just to earn their pension. Sad state of affairs!

SO PREDICTABLE
So Preston Manning is to chair a panel reviewing the (provincial) government’s handling of COVID. Since Manning has already made his anti-mandate feelings known, it seems a forgone conclusion that the panel will rule out any future mask and/or vaccine mandates. Strangely enough, that is exactly what our esteemed premier already thinks. Meanwhile, UCP staffers seem to think it is perfectly acceptable to interfere with public prosecutions. Are these constant political highjinks what Albertans want?

COLD, COLD TAX
The Trudeau Liberals seem to be determined to tax Canadians into poverty … here’s proof. On my latest utility statement, the natural gas charge totalled $122.87, federal carbon tax applied for natural gas was $59.41. The government is taxing at a rate over 48%. I cannot wrap my head around this. How can anyone survive if they are forced to pay this tax, at such a ludicrously high rate? And the Liberal fantasy, that taxing Canadians this way is the answer that will solve global carbon emissions is beyond stupefying! Why hasn’t Justin tried using fairy dust and unicorn farts as the solution? That would be easier on all Canadians, in this time of financial uncertainty.

ON THE GRIFT
The good is as Canadians we respect each other’s decisions and beliefs during these obscure times. The bad was wedge politics and slander used maliciously during said times. The ugly truth is corruption and exploitation with billions unaccounted for or investigated. High Pandemic Grifters with Fists Full of our Dollars wanting A Few Dollars More. Ottawa and its crooked sheriffs are the Unforgiven.
JASON SLOBODA

GONE TOO FAR
Went to Subway in Midnapore to get a sub, and when I got to the till, she pointed to a note on the glass indicating that if I wanted a bag, it was 10 cents extra. What? For a bag that’s not really a full bag that they slip a sub into? What’s next, a fee for the paper the sub is rolled into? Oh, and do you want a napkin with that? I think in this situation, these bag fees have gone too far.
DOUG HAND
(The way of the world.)

HOW DOES HE DO THIS?
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau broke the law when he accepted a paid vacation from the Agha Khan. Trudeau broke the law when he hate smeared the truckers and their supporters with vicious language. Trudeau broke the law when under oath during the Emergencies Act inquiry he perjured himself when he denied calling anybody names. Besides these instances, there is also the SNC judicial interference, the WE scandal and many other examples. Lies, deceit and other criminal activity. Where’s the RCMP. Where’s CSIS!
GLENN CUNNINGHAM
(He is clearly above the law.)
